One location: 85 scenes, 18 cult feature movies shot from 1943 to 2003. What images and sounds are recognized, memorized, mesmerized?

Chronologically and progressively interlaced, 1.940 fragmented cuts correlate with the spatial resolutions, on-site and on-screen. Perceptions of public squares melt as images containing other squares – pixels. Audiovisual impressions are unclear, but they embody accumulated pasts. Repetitive patterns of situations, viewpoints, melodies, and actors emphasize glitchy flashbacks. While a "lieu de mémoire" allows ambiguity and deliberate indistinctness leading to other places, decomposed frames question film heritage: its access, quality, and historical discourses.
